Goddess Amaterasu Omikami

Amaterasu Omikami is a Japanese sun goddess. Amaterasu is the primary deity of the Shinto pantheon since he is the king of the High Plain of Heaven.

  • Her brilliance shines life-giving rays over her people and the planet, since she is the highest expression of the cosmos.
  • Her beauty and brightness are all-pervasive, resulting in productive rice, wheat, and flower fields.
  • Her most famous and well-known story is how, overwhelmed with sorrow, Amaterasu locked herself away in a dark cave, plunging the world into darkness and despair.
  • Only the reflection of her enthusiasm and splendor in the mirror was strong enough to pull her out of her hiding place.
  • She is symbolized by the mirror and is the creator of weaving and spinning.
