domestic goddess, other accounts describe her as a strong, seductive sorcerer
who served as High Goddess and Priestess of Crete.
She is the embodiment of the feminine mysteries and
possesses all of the serpent's magical abilities.
Her sculpture displays her wearing Minoan clothing and
holding snakes in each hand.
She is the protector of women and the ties that bind them
together in marriage.
She is in charge of battle, hunting, and weaving, as well as
the bandages and shrouds of the deceased.
Neith is shown as a lady with a bow and arrow or a weaving
shuttle in her hands.
She blesses those who are diligent housekeepers, but
punishes the lazy with disarray in the home.
She is also regarded as a goddess of nightmares and dreams,
and she is claimed to appear spinning and weaving when a family member is about
to die.
Kikimora is shown as a normal lady with chicken legs and
feet.
