Goddess Tozi

Tozi (sometimes spelled Toci) is an Aztec deity of healing.

Tozi is the patroness of women healers, as well as the protector of sweat lodges and bath rites.

She is in charge of the cleaning of the physical and spiritual bodies, as well as the healing of sickness and disease.

Tozi is a grandmother ghost that looks after nature.

She is the Crone aspect of the Triple Goddess, together with Tlazolteotl and Teteoinnan, who comprise the triad.

Goddess Tlazolteotl

Tlazolteotl: Aztec filth goddess

Pestilence, sin, and sickness, especially STDs, are all controlled by Tlazolteotl.

She also has jurisdiction over sexual offenses such as adultery and rape.

She is the Dark Maiden, who both inspires and cleanses sin.

Tlazolteotl's priests purified those who confessed their wrongdoings in a rebirthing ritual; those who lied were sentenced to death.

Tozi and Teteoinnan form a triad with her.

Goddess Teteoinnan

Teteoinnan: Aztec goddess of midwives.

Teteoinnan is the patroness of midwives, doctors, and holistic intuitives, as well as the mother of the gods.

She created medicine and is the goddess of herbal remedies, making her a vegetation deity.

Teteoinnan is commemorated with blood sacrifices in the fields during harvest celebrations.

In a triad with Tlazolteotl and Tozi, she is the Mother aspect.
