Faumea is a goddess of fertility, sexuality, and protection,
as well as a divinity of personal limits.
She and her spouse, Tangaroa, govern the water, and the sea
life and air animals are under their dominion.
Faumea's vaginal eels protect her against unwelcome
approaches, and she taught her husband how to properly lure them out.
