Goddess Holda

Northern European winter goddess.

Holda is also known as "Mother Holle," and "Snow Queen."

She is mostly associated with the winter season, and is said to bless the goodhearted while punishing the weak and indolent.

With legends of Holda coming to abduct or punish them, children were scared into good conduct.

Holda is a goddess of nature who is in charge of manipulating snowfall and fog.

She is represented as a lovely lady dressed in red and white, and it is thought that she rides the wind at Yuletide to bring good fortune and health to those who revere her.
