Goddess Lupa

Lupa: The Roman goddess of the wolf.

Lupa is the embodiment of fertility as a nursemaid and adoptive mother of Romulus and Remus.

She embodies a mother's intense protectiveness towards her children.

Her festivity included orgiastic rites as well as goat and dog sacrifices.

She considers milk to be sacrosanct.
