Goddess Brigantia

Brigantia: Summer goddess of the Celts.

Brigantia is a sun goddess who rules over light and fire, and is often mistaken with Brigid.

  • She is the earth's essence, balancing all things and encouraging development and fertility in all things.
  • Her emblems include wells, springs, and serpents, and chanting her name is said to heal even the most terrible illnesses and wounds.
  • Beltane and Midsummer are Brigantia's festivals, when she fans the flames of creativity and inspiration among poets, painters, and musicians.
