Vesna: Russian spring goddess
Vesna is a goddess of prophecy who is thought to reside at the summit of a mountain.
She is the embodiment of spring and is in charge of plant
and agricultural survival.
She is honored with song and dance at the end of February to
welcome the arrival of spring.
